Post Office on the move

Thursday, 15 July 2010

POST Office Ltd has confirmed that following a period of public consultation Randalstown Post Office branch will move to new premises at the Mace Store, New Street, Randalstown.
A spokesperson explained: "During the recent public consultation a small number of comments from customers and local representatives were received, most of which supported the move.
“However, a few were concerned about parking at the new location. We have carefully reviewed parking at New Street and are satisfied that current facilities will adequately meet the needs of customers using the branch.
“The new branch will open on Saturday August 7, however, to facilitate the move of essential equipment it will be necessary to close the branch at the current site on Tuesday August 3.
“During this short period of closure customers may use any Post Office branch, however, two nearby branches are located at Antrim and Kells." The spokesperson added: "Our priority is to ensure that our services meet the needs of our customers in the local community and we look forward to welcoming them to the branch when it moves to its new site.
“We are confident the new branch is suitably located and it will be fitted out with a brand new, modern purpose-built screen with level access and also offer on-site convenience shopping."
