‘Rat run’ for drug dealers thumbnail

ANTRIM and Newtownabbey Borough Council has vowed to investigate shocking allegations that a path between two estates in Antrim is being used as a 'drugs drop-off' location.
DUP councillor Linda Clarke made the sensational claim at a meeting of the Council's Operations Committee in the Civic Centre.
She said that the path between Avondale and the Springfarm estate is being used by people who are not resident in the area to transfer drugs from one vehicle to another.
She was backed up by her husband, South Antrim MLA Trevor Clarke, who said that he too had concerns.
The PSNI has urged residents to report any suspicions they have about illegal activity in their area.
