Minister ‘divorced’ from flock in wake of gay marriage storm

THE Presbyterian Minister whose church was at the centre of the David Ford gay marriage storm is set to spend Christmas away from his flock.
It has been announced that Rev James L Tosh will step aside from Second Donegore 'until further notice', just four weeks after the former Alliance leader was banished from his role as an Elder of the same church.
In both cases their fall from grace could hardly have been more humiliatingly public - announced to a stunned congregation at the end of the Sunday service.
It is understood that Rev Alastair Gordon has been brought in to mend relationships in a bitterly divided church, and he is expected to stay at Second Donegore for at least three months.
