THE owners of a Randalstown shop which was ram-raided last week say they will not give in to the 'idiots' who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.
A vehicle was driven into the front shutters of the Mace store on New Street at around 4am on Wednesday January 25.
It is believed that those responsible attempted to gain access to the store via a side entrance and when that failed, they rammed the shop front 'five or six times' with a car before making off with a quantity of cigarettes.
Michael Gault, who co-owns the shop with his wife Julie, said: "I'm so sorry to see this happening. People have worked so hard to make Randalstown the wonderful place it is.
“And then you get idiots like this who do their best to ruin all that great work."
