HUNDREDS of people from across South Antrim have added their names to the petition urging Westminster to scrap plans for a State Visit to the UK by US President Donald Trump.
Leeds solicitor Graham Guest started the petition on the Government's website calling for an invite to Mr Trump made by Prime Minister Theresa May to be hastily withdrawn, as it would 'cause embarrassment' to the Queen.
“Donald Trump's well-documented misogyny and vulgarity disqualifies him from being received by Her Majesty the Queen or the Prince of Wales," Mr Guest said.
By early Tuesday afternoon almost 1,000 people in South Antrim had signed the petition.
