Bank’s imminent withdrawal leaves customers in shock

ANTRIM is to lose yet another major business from the High Street after the announcement that the town's First Trust bank is to close on July 7.
The news comes just days before the closure of Antrim's Bank of Ireland branch and follows the closures of the Ulster Bank and Danske Bank branches in Randalstown.
First Trust has agreed a partnership with the Post Office that will enable customers to conduct banking transactions in any of the 500 Post Offices across Northern Ireland - but Antrim's main Post Office in Castle Mall is also under threat of closure unless a franchisee can be found.
