A WORLD War Two researcher is seeking information about a local link to a brutal wartime killing.
In a story that could have come straight from the script of Band of Brothers, William Pearson (Billy) Young from Randalstown was one of five men shot dead by German soldiers after they were captured in France in the aftermath of D-Day.
Andy Glenfield is the man behind The Second World War in Northern Ireland website and has a keen interest in the involvement of local people in the conflict.
“I am keen to learn about Billy Young and am hoping that through your newspaper I can hopefully get in contact with his family," he said.
