RESIDENTS in the Tardree area of Antrim believe it is only a matter of time before someone is killed or seriously injured after an upturn in the use of scrambler and dirt bikes in Tardree Forest.
Local police have confirmed that they have received a number of reports about scrambler bikes in the Ladyhill Road area and have asked bikers to be 'courteous and respectful to other users' of the forest.
Their plea comes after recent deaths involving scramblers in other areas of Northern Ireland and after beleaguered residents contacted the Antrim Guardian, concerned about the safety of the riders themselves, as well as local motorists, walkers and equestrians.
