Stars to shine in £100k fundraiser for hospital that saved Clíodhna’s life thumbnail

SPORTING stars and celebrities have thrown their support behind an Antrim woman who has pledged to raise an incredible £100,000 for the hospital which saved her life after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour less than two years ago.
Clíodhna McCorley has been left deaf in one ear and temporarily lost the ability to walk after major brain surgery at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London.
Nonetheless, she is all too aware of how 'very lucky' she is and the talented actress and one-time Belfast Rose of Tralee, who lost her crown when it emerged she was underage, is determined to 'give something back'.
