Council forks out £3.5k on yet another US visit - but insists it was ‘money well spent’ thumbnail

LESS than six months after provoking the wrath of angry ratepayers by spending more than £11,600 on a 'fact-finding' trip to its 'twin city' in the United States, Antrim and Newtownabbey Council is at it again.
This week it emerged that two council directors have been back to Gilbert in Arizona for a six-day stay.
This time the cost of the 'business visit', which ended on April 13, was £3,520.
However, the council insists that it was money well spent.
