Clarke returns to Stormont thumbnail

TREVOR Clarke is heading back to the Northern Ireland Assembly - if and when it eventually resumes.
The DUP man has been selected by party leader Arlene Foster to replace Paul Girvan MP as a South Antrim MLA. 
Just four months ago Mr Clarke failed in his bid to be re-elected after the number of available seats was cut from six to five.
Now all he has to do is wait and see if the Assembly gets off the ground again or if Northern Ireland is heading for Direct Rule.
