Wasps’ nest fears of OAP thumbnail

AN Antrim pensioner is breathing a sigh of relief this week after the Housing Executive came to her aid to remove a gigantic wasps' nest from her property.
Hazel Wilson said she was terrified for her grandchildren and other youngsters due to the the 'rugby ball' sized structure attached to the doorway of her shed on Fennel Road.
After failing to sting Antrim and Newtownabbey Council into action, she contacted the Antrim Guardian asking for help, as she was becoming increasingly concerned.
“There is only one way in and out of the property and you have to pass the shed to do so," the OAP said.
“I have never seen a wasps' nest as big as this and I was terrified that they would be stung badly."
