Pedestrians ‘taking their  lives in their hands’ at  A26 accident blackspot thumbnail

ALL 44 residents of the Pipe Road near the A26 dual carriageway have signed a petition demanding a footpath to the nearby Tannaghmore Filling Station.
SDLP councillor Brian Duffin declared this week that he would present the names to the relevant department at Stormont 'before the end of the month'.
And it can not come too soon for local people who are forced to 'take their lives in their hands' every time they go to the busy shop.
The busy A26 has seen a number of accidents and several fatalities in recent years.
