Translink is ‘letting down its passengers’ thumbnail

COMMUTERS to Belfast from Antrim have been disciplined by their angry bosses after their bus failed to arrive EIGHT days on the trot, the Guardian can reveal.
Around 20 people are normally waiting for the 8.40am Express each morning, but in recent days they have had their patience tested to the limit when it was cancelled without warning.
Worse still, the no-show only became apparent when the next scheduled bus trundled into view.
Among them was Ulster Unionist councillor Jim Montgomery - and by Tuesday morning he had had enough.
“Buses are cancelled from time to time, but eight days in a row?" he fumed.
“Yet again we are seeing Translink failing to provide acceptable services for the public. If it's not overcrowded trains it is scheduled buses not turning up - and yet again Translink comes out with a lame excuse but no real positive actions.
“I can understand a problem on one day but continual failure to provide a peak time scheduled bus is totally unacceptable."
