Boat Club rises to the Challenge thumbnail

MORE than a dozen delegates from across the world will drop anchor at Antrim Boat Club this week for a special reception to plan for next year's Atlantic Challenge.
The biennial challenge is a contest of seamanship that tests the abilities of crews from 15 countries to sail and row versatile longboats in different events and different conditions.
These magnificent boats come together with their crews every two years for the International Contest of Seamanship.
It was announced earlier this year that Antrim Boat Club would be the host venue after Atlantic Challenge Northern Ireland won the bid for the 2018 Atlantic Challenge.
And as the contest draws closer, one head delegate from each of the 14 other countries competing will be welcomed to Antrim Boat Club this weekend.
