Keith is still behind his beloved Rovers - every time they play!

Thursday, 28 December 2017

ANTRIM Rovers Football Club have paid tribute to their late president Keith Rogers by including a tribute to him on their new kit, along with the logo of the charity which helped him in his final days.
Mr Rogers became involved with the club in 1999 before he joined the board, accompanying players to Scotland, Holland, France, Germany and across Northern Ireland.
The dad of three began to notice problems with his speech in 2013 and eventually received his diagnosis, before losing the ability to talk, eat and walk.
However the former soldier and his band of brothers refused to give up, raising thousands for the Motor Neurone Disease charity.
Sadly, just months after an emotional interview with the Antrim Guardian, Keith passed away in September 2015.
But he will never be forgotten in his adopted home town of Antrim, and especially not by his friends at Antrim Rovers, where he graced the sidelines for many years.
