Arson attack was 'attempted murder' thumbnail

THE victim of an arson attack in Crumlin in the early hours of last Saturday morning (April 7) has described the incident as 'attempted murder'.
David Mooney was asleep in his home on the Glenavy Road when he was woken by a noise and came downstairs to find his Ford Kuga and the front of his house ablaze.
The vehicle was destroyed in the fire, which also caused damage to a window and window frame of the house.
Mr Mooney said that his 17-year-old daughter, who is studying for her A-levels, has been left traumatised.
Sinn Fein councillor Annemarie Logue urged anyone with information to contact police.
