Christmas jumpers catch the eye at MacKenzie's
THE final night of the Christmas League at MacKenzie's Equestrian Centre in Randalstown attracted one of the biggest turnouts of the year, and over 75 entries.
The starter stakes class saw 12 entries with Brooke Davis and Samara Surgeoner both jumping clear rounds.
In the Warm Up class, Rebecca Halliday and Antony Price were probably the pick of the ten clear rounds.
In their Mini Novice, meanwhile, there were nice rounds from Mikie MacKenzie, Caitlin Foster, Sammy Cameron and Emma Allen.
The Novice class was won by Caitlin Foster on James in a time of 42.12 seconds, just edging out second placed Lynsay Cameron on Tizer.
The mini-open was topped by Debbie-Lee Letters on Chico, receiving Stonebridge Feeds, a rug and cash prize. Second placed went to Ben Peppert on Saffy, with Nicole Cameron, on Fizz, third.
The Open Class was won by Ben Peppert on Saphy, in a time of 25.24 seconds, just marginally faster than runner up Kathryn Cameron on Roxy Lady, with 25.56. Debbie Lee Letters on Smurf came in on third place, with an even faster time of 23.64 - but with four faults.
