Showjumper Chris reaches new heights thumbnail

A TEMPLEPATRICK teenager and his mount this week became joint winners of the Porsche Cayenne Puissance at the Olympia Christmas show in London.
Eighteen-year-old Chris Megahey recorded the biggest success of his career on Irish Sport Horse, Seapatrick Cruise Cavalier, known as Socks, jumping a massive 2.15m in the thrilling sudden-death showdown.
He shared the prize with English rider Holly Smith after the pair made the fifth round from seven riders who took part in the invitational spectacle.
