Thursday, 16 February 2017
MASSEREENE Golf Club's Tiarnan McLarnon put in an excellent performance in the Portugese International Amateur Championship 2017 at Montdal Golf in Costa Azul this week.
After competing on the first two days of the competition he shot 69 and 72 to make the cut.
After the third round score of 70 he was three shots off the lead.
Day four conditions were not great and a final card that contained nine pars, three birdies and six bogies saw Tiarnan finish with a 75 to finish with an overall score of two under par.
Tiarnan was the highest finishing Irish representative - and was only five shots off the overall winner.
