Allen turns on his critics after Crucible defeat thumbnail

ANTRIM snooker ace Mark Allen has defended his commitment to his sport, telling those who question his dedication to 'get a life'.
His comments came after he failed to capitalise on an early 5-2 lead against John Higgins to crash out of the World Championship in Sheffield last week.
After the Scot's 13-9 victory, Allen bemoaned his failure to prepare for morning sessions in marathon tournaments but later insisted that his remarks were 'in jest'.
“I'd be pretty confident there aren't many players out there who work as hard as I do on the table," he said.
