Call to recognise young boxer’s achievements thumbnail

ANTRIM and Newtownabbey Mayor John Scott has been asked to formally recognise the achievements of a young champion boxer from Antrim.
Nicole Clyde (14) from Steeple recently picked up the All-Ireland 50kg Girls National Championship title in Dublin, as one of the youngest in her 14-16 age category.
UUP rep Jim Montgomery said that her achievement was 'incredible' and revealed that she hoped to compete for Ireland at the European championships in June.
