ANTRIM'S first and only American Football team will have their first home match next weekend.
The Antrim Jets was formed by local man Neil Adams and three pals and have now joined the IAFL2.
The team trains every Sunday at the St Joseph's Primary School pitches and the Jets are sponsored by, among others, the Maldron Hotel, based at Belfast International Airport.
In all there are seven sides in Northern Ireland and 25 in total across the island of Ireland, with the Belfast Trojans recently winning a European championship, and even a national team.
Neil decided to form the team after following the New York Jets for many years since he first visited the Big Apple.
The side has also been feverishly fundraising to buy the required safety equipment for the sport.
The Jets' first game against the Meath Bulldogs kicks off at 2pm on Sunday May 14 at the Antrim Forum.
There will be a family atmosphere with bouncy castles, facepainting and hot food and drinks from 1pm.
