Muckamore out for a ‘Duckworth!’ thumbnail

THERE were thrills and spills aplenty at Moylena on Saturday as Muckamore's brilliant start to the season suffered a minor set-back in the pouring rain.
Skipper Neil Gill scored a brilliant 66 not out which almost saw the boys from Moylena across the line in a tough match against Waringstown.
The valiant Gill played a magnificent captain's role in the dramatic run chase, hitting four sixes and four fours off just 42 deliveries.
Players were forced off the pitch for 83 minutes by torrential downpours and in the consequent Duckworth Lewis calculation Muckamore were set a target of 171 runs from just 30 overs.
This was a very close game where a couple of dropped catches and the runs conceded in the last three overs led to Muckamore losing this exciting Premier League game.
