A GLENAVY golfing prodigy is about to enjoy his third Irish Open - at the tender age of four!
Young Sevie Trowlen has made headlines around the world with his incredible talent for the sport and he has already rubbed shoulders with stars like Padraig Harrington and, just this week, Rory McIlroy.
It quickly became apparent that the Glenavy youngster, who was named after Spanish golf legend Seve Ballesteros, was displaying a precocious talent like his namesake.
He even enjoys a personal open invitation from one of the top 50 golf coaches in America to attend a golf school across the pond.
Dad Sean said: "Sevie was allowed on the course at Portstewart and the PGA Course Director said Rory was there and that he would like Sevie to meet him.
“He was really lovely and even teed up to let Sevie hit the ball."
