THE Council’s Best Kept Garden 2018 winners have been announced at a celebration event in Antrim Castle Gardens.

This year’s competition had over 50 entries and picking a winner proved a tough job for the judges!

“Thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to the winners and runners up,” said Mayor Paul Michael.

And the all-important winners were:

Best Kept Garden:1, William Crawford, Templepatrick; 2, Colin Mitchell, Doagh.

Best Kept Front/Container Garden: 1, Sara McLaughlin, Jordanstown; 2, Noel McCreight, Antrim.

Best Kept School Grounds: 1, Ballycraigy Primary School; 2, Ballyclare High School.

Best Kept Commercial Premises: 1, McKeowns Jewellers, Randalstown; 2, Budding Designs, Randalstown.

Best Kept Community Planting: 1, Clonmore House Care; 2,Schools Area at Viewpoint, Randalstown.

Next year’s Best Kept Garden competition will be launched in spring 2019 and all entries are welcome. For more information call 028 9034 0069.
