Steeple remembered

THE Steeple estate in Antrim is to be the subject of a pioneering project designed to preserve its past as it looks to the future.

The Steeple Community Association are working hand in hand with the Public Records Office to help create a unique artwork comprising the memories of the people who lived - and still live - there.

The trail-blazing initiative, the first of its kind supported by the Records Office, is part of Good Relations Week.

And since local people are key to its success, they are urging residents past and present to play their part by attending a meeting at Parkhall Community Centre this Saturday (October 6). And bring your photographs!

be a day to remember!

*Full story in this week’s Antrim Guardian where you can also read the stories behind the photographs that are dear to the heart of football fanatic and former Antrim milkman John Robinson in our new series ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’ - AND take yet another trip down memory lane with our fabulous Past Times feature.
