THE countdown to Christmas may well and truly be on but for the residents of Crumlin, the time has not yet come to give up on their campaign to have festive funding restored to the town.
Ratepayers have been calling on Antrim and Newtownabbey Council to reconsider their decision to exclude Crumlin from a specific funding pot.
The corporate argument? That it was agreed to split a funding pot in excess of £200,000 between four towns - two from each of the legacy Boroughs.
Crumlin residents have been left infuriated at what they have blasted as ‘blatant discrimination’ on the part of the local Council.
