Outpouring of grief for tragic Laura

THE funeral of a young Antrim mother, who passed away last week after suffering complications from a migraine, took place last Friday at St Comgall's Chapel in Antrim.

Laura Burns tragically passed away just days before Christmas after a migraine caused her heart to stop beating after losing consciousness.

Her heartbroken family asked all those attending her funeral to wear colours instead of traditional black as a way to remember Laura and celebrate her life.

Family, friends and colleagues have expressed their shock and devastation at the sudden loss of the popular nursing professional and her colleagues formed a guard of honour at her funeral service.

Her brother Andrew helped set up a Justgiving page in Laura's name which has already raised more than £12,000 to raise funds for the Intensive Care Unit at Antrim Area Hospital and the Buddy Bear Trust.
