TWO victims of Antrim’s ‘cocaine epidemic’ have tried to take their own lives when they were unable to get professional help to battle their addiction.
Though they do not know each other, both have shared a painfully similar story of how ‘coke’ sent their lives hurtling into a downward spiral.
In rare moments of clarity they have sought support, only to discover that none is available. Depressed, they resort to drugs and the vicious circle starts again.
Both have asked not to be named - not for fear of violent reprisals, but to prevent dealers from trying to reel them back in.
