AN information session will be held next Tuesday (February 12) to showcase proposals for a new mixed use development in Randalstown.
The proposal has the potential to see the development of a 67-acre site on the east side of the town.
The proposed mixed-use development could include up to 200 homes, approximately 215,000 square feet for commercial use and would seek to incorporate several of the existing features of the site such as trees, hedgerows, watercourses and footpath links.
The proposed development includes a link road which would provide an alternative route for many existing road users and ease congestion, particularly around the Barnish Road junction with the A26.
Land would also be set aside in the proposed development to provide a new park and ride facility that would considerably increase the capacity of the current facility which can service only 35 cars.
Also included is land set aside for a new leisure centre.
