The group is made up of a team of local volunteers, with the aim of encouraging greater community involvement; creating a sense of pride in the town which participants live and work; and building confidence and creating a general feel good factor within the area.
The group organise a variety of events, including a week-long summer festival which incorporates a multitude of community-based activities.
They include sporting outlets and activities, a community parade, musical events, educational workshops and talks, exhibitions, the promotion of arts and crafts and other fun-based activities.
All events are free of charge in order to encourage greater participation from all members of the community.
This year, a new addition to the programme of events will be a fantastic Spring Ball at the Templeton Hotel on April 13.
