A YOUNG Antrim woman who was sexually assaulted by her then partner as she lay in her bed, has urged other victims to speak out.
The woman was forced to give evidence against her ex in court after he denied a charge of sexual assault and a charge of common assault.
She was sleeping in her bed in the early hours of October 10, 2016 when she awoke to find the defendant touching her.
He was found guilty and was sentenced in March, but escaped jail.
