ANTRIM commuters had a lucky escape on Monday morning after a lorry shed its load on the main Ballymena line near the entrance to Springfarm Industrial Estate and the entrance to Town Parks North.

One shocked onlooker said: “It could have been carnage, it was a huge slab of concrete, if it had fallen onto another vehicle or someone had driven into it, I dread to think what might have happened.”
