Busy time at Antrim Boxing Club

IT has been a busy time for local girls Nicole Clyde and Deanna Parke as they continue their preparation for the upcoming Ulster Championship.

The Antrim Boxing Club members were in Banbridge on Saturday for the female development squad training and in Dublin on Sunday morning for Edenderry select squad sparring.

The girls have worked really hard and were in great shape ahead of the weigh ins and prelims.

Junior Boxers also competed in an exhibition show hosted by Clonard Boxing Club in Belfast recently.

It was their first taste of competitive Boxing and every one of them did themselves and the club proud.

Club member Jack Douglas also won his bout in the Belfast International youth tournament, against a very strong, tough and experienced opponent from Greece.
