Cup woe for Antrim

THE Antrim First XI squad and an impressive amount of supporters travelled to neutral venue, Deramore Park in Belfast on New Year’s Day to take on Intermediate side Ballynahinch in the final of the Linden Cup.

And since Antrim had soundly beaten Ballynahinch in the same competition earlier in the season they were the strong favourites to win the game.

However, unfortunately it was not to be - Antrim finishing the decider on the wrong end of a 4-2 scoreline.
