EXCITEMENT is mounting at Parkhall Integrated College after their U16 girls’ football team secured their place in the Schools’ Cup final.
It is the second year in a row that the school took part in the decider of the soccer showcase.
A Parkhall spokesperson said their ‘dedication, teamwork, and determination continue to inspire our entire school community’.
This week two of their valued sports sponsors - Paul Kirkpatrick of Islandbawn Stores and Peter Stevenson of Wallace’s - dropped by to congratulate the girls on their success to date.
During their visit, they generously presented the team with a brand-new set of running-out tops ahead of next month’s highly anticipated final.
“Their ongoing support plays a vital role in enhancing sporting experiences and opportunities for our students, and we extend our sincere thanks for their continued commitment to school sport at Parkhall,” said the spokesperson.
The U16 final will take place on 19th March at the Blanchflower Stadium, where the girls will face The Girls’ Model School, Belfast.
“This promises to be an exciting and memorable occasion, and we are confident that our team will rise to the challenge with the same passion and resilience that has brought them this far.
“On behalf of the entire school community, we wish our players and coaching staff every success in the final.
“We are all behind you, and we hope to see you take that final step and proudly bring the trophy home to Parkhall Integrated College.
“Good luck, girls - your school is cheering you on every step of the way!”
