Creggan's celebrate junior talent

THE Strength of Gaelic games was very much in evidence when the local Kickhams Creggan Club held their juvenile presentation awards evening in the Parish Hall.

They were there from pre-school to Under sixteen with Football, hurling, camogie and Girls’ football all on the agenda.

And once again there was some notable success to celebrate.

Some eleven teams were recognised for their achievements including a Nursery and Primary 1 team of boys and girls.

Among the Individual awards handed out were:

Girls Football

Under 12 Most Improved: Baithin Mallon and Player of the Year: Tanisha McCann.

Under 14 Most Improved Cara McAteer and Player of the Year Cissie Doherty.

Under 16 Most Improved: Bridin McMinn and Player of the Year: Clodagh Maguire.

Camogie

Under 12 Player of the Year: Erin McCann, Team Spirit: Anna McLarnon and Most Improved: Lauren McCartney and Tanisha McCann.

Under 14: Player of the Year: Isabelle Martin, Team Spirit Anna Rankin and Most Omproved Niamh Heggarty.

Under 16 Players of the year: Sheleagh Murray and Clodagh Wilson.

Hurling

Under 11.5 Player of the Year Matthew Fawl and Most Improved: Joseph Patton.

Under 13 Player of the Year: Sean McCormick and Most Improved: Killian McKenna and Nathan McAleese.

Under 15 Player of the Year: Conor McLarnon and Most Improved: Oisin Dunlop and Joel McClelland.

Football

Under 13 Player of the Year Harry Maguire and Fergus Maguire, Most Improved: Ronan Maguire.
