The sun shone bright in Creggan on Saturday 8th June as Kickham’s hosted the Gaelic for Mothers and Others (G4M&O) Ulster blitz with 28 teams and 415 players from across Ulster taking part.
St Enda’s in Omagh were the second venue hosting similar numbers.
G4M&O is an innovative way to introduce mothers and other women to playing ladies Gaelic football.
Crucially, no previous playing experience is necessary, with the primary focus being on a fun, non-competitive and social environment.
A Kickham’s spokesperson said: “It was a privilege to host the G4M&O Ulster blitz, being particularly special this year as we celebrate our centenary. Massive congratulations to the dedicated group of club volunteers on delivering such a successful event. We’ve been overwhelmed with the positive feedback from other clubs.”
