Randalstown ARCHES Association has been awarded a grant of £46,727 from The National Lottery Community Fund.
This funding will support essential roof repairs and sustainability improvements to Arches House, their community base in Randalstown.
The investment will enable replacement and refurbishment of the building roof to ensure safety and longevity.
There will also be enhanced insulation, energy-efficient upgrades and eco-friendly materials to make the building more sustainable and reduce future operating costs.
This will allow continued delivery of community activities, training and events in a modern, welcoming facility for everyone in Randalstown.
Chairperson Peter Boyle said: “We are thrilled to receive this funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. Arches House is at the heart of our work in Randalstown, and these essential improvements will help safeguard the building for future generations.
“We’re grateful to National Lottery players for making this possible and for supporting projects that strengthen communities like ours.”
Treasurer William Allen added: “This grant will make a real difference.
“A sound, energy-efficient building means we can keep delivering activities and support that benefit local people, while also taking practical steps towards a greener, more sustainable Randalstown.”
The award comes at a milestone year for ARCHES, as they celebrate 30 years of empowering our community, and look ahead to continued growth and impact with a strong focus on sustainability and accessibility.
It’s also been revealed that the communityhall will be renamed after George Graham, a stalwart of the organisation, who passed away earlier this year.
