Parking and loading bay proposals

THE Department for Infrastructure is proposing a six-month ‘experimental traffic control scheme’ on Church Street in Antrim.

The scheme will provide for a loading bay on a length of Church Street for the use of goods vehicles to load and unload certain goods to operate between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive.

Vehicles are excepted from the conditions in certain circumstances.

The scheme will also authorise a length of Church Street for the use as a parking place. Parking will be limited to one hour with return to the parking place prohibited until two hours has expired.

Full details are contained in the draft scheme which together with a map showing the road involved may be inspected free of charge during office hours at DfI TRAM Northern Division, Traffic Management, County Hall, 182 Galgorm Road, Ballymena, BT42 1QG. Inspection of the draft scheme and map is by appointment only which can be arranged either by email using the email address below or by telephone during office hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) on 0300 200 7899.

Any person may object or make other representations, specifying the grounds on which they are made, by writing to the Department at the address above or by emailing dfiroads.northern@infrastructure-ni.gov.uk

within a period of 22 days from today (January 19 2026).
