THE Council has welcomed the completion of the 5-star Blair’s Castlewood Holiday Park development.
The ‘significant investment’ in local tourism is located within the grounds of Shane’s Castle on the shores of Lough Neagh.
The park has also launched new accommodation options including three new luxury lodges, as well as additional glamping experiences such as the Victory Lumiere pod and the ABI Stargazer cabin.
Castlewood Holiday Park now offers a wide range of visitor accommodation including touring pitches, camping cabins, glamping pods, luxury caravans and holiday home ownership opportunities.
Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick dropped by to see the Park for herself - and she was impressed.
“It was a pleasure to attend the unveiling of the completed Castlewood Holiday Park development,” she said.
“This is a significant investment in tourism for Antrim and Newtownabbey, and I look forward to seeing visitors experience all it has to offer.”
The park also features outdoor attractions including Castlewood Tree Top Adventure, woodland walks and family activity areas, while its location provides easy access to Antrim Castle Gardens, Antrim town centre and The Junction Retail and Leisure Park.
A council spokesperson added: “The Council recognises the importance of tourism investment in supporting the local economy and enhancing the Borough’s visitor offering and believes the completion of Castlewood Holiday Park will help strengthen Antrim’s position as a key short-break destination.”
