No staff or customers injured after car crashes into shop

PARKHALL Spar has closed after a vehicle crashed into the front of the shop on Thursday.

Proprietors Charles and Rhonda Henderson announced: “Due to an unforeseen incident at lunch time today, we will regretfully have to close the store in order to undertake essential repairs.

“We can confirm all staff and customers are safe and uninjured.

“We thank you for your support and patience.”

Images from the scene showed a black Citroën having crashed into the front doors of the shop.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that police and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended a single-vehicle collision in the Parkhall area of Antrim.
