A TOTAL of eight community and voluntary sector organisations across County Antrim, excluding Belfast, are anticipated to receive Core Grant funding in 2026/2027, subject to final checks, the Health Minister has announced.
Overall, more than 70 organisations are anticipated to receive funding across Northern Ireland – a marked increase from the 26 organisations which were awarded funding in 2025/2026.
The increase was made possible by a restructuring of the scheme to ensure that the £1.8m available could be spread further to support a greater number of eligible organisations.
Among the local organisations are
Impact Network NI of Randalstown.
Wendy Kerr, Manager of Impact Network NI, said the money would make a tangible difference to local people.
“We are delighted to receive this news about our Core Grant funding application,” she said.
“We look forward to continuing to work in partnership with the Department of Health, the Public Health Agency, and our community partners to ensure people feel supported, connected, and empowered to look after their mental health.”
