World Day of Prayer event

ANTRIM World Day of Prayer was held on Friday 6th March.

St Patrick’s Parish Church Parkhall Antrim were the hosts to this year’s service.

The Service was prepared by the Christian woman from Nigeria and they chose the theme: “I will give you rest, come”

The Rev Ian and Mrs Hilary Magowan welcomed everyone to St Patrick’s.

Those taking part were Leader 1, Mrs Sonia McCallion, Leader 2. Mrs Moria McMurray, Leader 3. Mrs Joan Curry.

Readers were Kate McGuigan, Nancy Bonar, Elizabeth Moore, Christine Brannagh,Rachel Mulligan, and Anne McLean.

The music and Hymns were led by Mrs Hilary Magowan, St Patrick’s Organist.

The Choir was made from the various Churches around Antrim.

This was a lovely and most uplifting service and was based on Matthew 11 : 28-30

After the service a lovely supper was provided by the Ladies from St Patrick’s.

Mrs Anne McLean give a Vote of Thanks.

Next years service will be held in the Methodist Church on the Greystone Road.

This year’s service was organised by the Antrim Committee under their Chair Person Mrs Meta Booth.

Many Thanks were extended to all who came and supported the World Day of Prayer Service.
