Big win for Jude

THERE were celebrations at Antrim Boxing Club after Jude McLaughlin won his fifth County Antrim title on Thursday night.

Jude delivered a composed and tactically disciplined performance against a very strong opponent Rory Walker from the Corpus Christi Boxing Club.

These two lads know each other well, having now boxed five times.

Fully aware of Rory’s toughness and aggressive style, Jude knew the importance of staying calm under pressure and sticking to the game plan.

Using his skill, movement and work rate, he successfully outboxed and outworked his opponent, winning every round in impressive fashion.

This title secures Jude a place at the upcoming Irish National Boxing Championships in Dublin, which begin next weekend.
