The First Lady of Randalstown!

HISTORY was made last Wednesday night when for the first time Randalstown Rugby Club elected their first lady President, Dr Aine Doran.

Over the years Aine’s contribution to the Club has been immense - initially as a coach with the Mini section, helping develop the players of the future.

However, her talents don’t stop there; among her many achievements are the organisation of fund-raising events including the recent Gala Ball at Galgorm Manner.

As a member of the Club Committee, she has been taken responsibility for the club’s social media.

As if this wasn’t enough Aine has been a regular player in the Randalstown Ladies XV who have just completed a highly successful season and also sits on the Ulster Branch Committee.

Outgoing President Dr John Curry looks forward to Dr Doran's time in office and believes that her hard work and dedication will be an example to all members of the Club.

“I want to congratulate Aine on her election as President and thank her for her support over the last three years,” said Dr John.

“We are all very proud of our Aine!”
