Road users are being advised to anticipate traffic disruption in Randalstown this Saturday evening, 19th April, due to planned parades.
The first of the two parades scheduled will begin at 7pm and will be facilitated without a road closure.
The main parade however will begin at 8pm, at the junction of Shane Street and Station Road, and a road closure will be implemented. This has been necessary to ensure the safety of all.
The main parade will travel along Shanes Street, Main Street, New Street, before turning at Vivo Filling Station, down New Street, Upper Main Street, Portglenone Road, Ahoghill Road, Neillsbrook II Estate, Park Green, Blackthorn Way, Neillsbrook Road by the Health Centre, Moores Lane, Lower Main Street and over the bridge, to finish back on Shanes Street.
To facilitate both participants and spectators from 8pm onwards, please expect the road closure to last until approximately 11pm.
All pedestrian access will be maintained and facilitated including access to local businesses, with local officers on the ground to assist.
Police have advised that if you are not planning to attend the parades, please seek an alternative route for your journey where possible.
