‘THE Real Slim Mogey’ has taken to the stage for his second sold-out comedy show the Old Courthouse.
Antrim comic Adam Mogey, who lives with Tourette’s syndrome based his new show on ‘embarrassing stories growing up that still keep me awake some nights when I think back on them’.
There were tales of his dreams of following in the footsteps of his idol Eminem, despite having a pretty privileged childhood and how he navigated through the later stages of his life as a Dad.
And of course, there were references to how he has come to terms with his Tourette’s and how he has incorporated it into his act.
“So that was my second sold-out show at the Courthouse and I won’t lie, this time round I had a lot of nerves going into it, due to the show being so different to what I'm used to doing.
“It was more personal, I felt the audience where fantastic and clung onto every word and laughed exactly when I had hoped they would.
“It was such a buzz coming off stage to applause and cheers.
“I am so thankful for the support and it was also great to see a lot of new faces coming to see me too.
“So I do hope they will be back.
“So far everything I’ve heard has been positive but the support I get locally has always been amazing, and I owe them a lot so giving them a good night's craic is what I hope to do more and more.
“I was such a fantastic night I’m delighted with how it panned out.”
