Residents, schools, businesses, and community groups have been recognised for their commitment to gardening at Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council’s annual Best Kept Garden Awards.
The ceremony was hosted by David Maxwell, radio presenter and Editor of The Irish Garden magazine.
Speaking at the event, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Leah Kirkpatrick said, “It’s fantastic to see so many wonderful gardens created by our residents.
“The awards are a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of those who make Antrim and Newtownabbey greener, more vibrant, and more welcoming. Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists.”
The title of ‘Best of the Best’ was awarded to Colin Mitchell for his outstanding garden in Ballyclare.
In the category of Best Kept Commercial Premises, Neillsbrook Fold was the winner, followed buy Maine Fold
Best Kept School was Creavery Primary School, with runner-up Moneynick Primary School.
